Psalm 72:1-14

Give the King Your Justice
Of Solomon.
Give the king your justice, O God, and your righteousness to the royal son!
May he judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice! Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people, and the hills, in righteousness! May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor! May they fear you while the sun endures, and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!
May he be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth! In his days may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, till the moon be no more! May he have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth! May desert tribes bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust! May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts! May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him! For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. He has pity on the weak and the needy and saves the lives of the needy. From oppression and violence, he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
Solomon's prayer is one we would wish for, ourselves, it is a prayer from the heart of God. My prayer is that the next president of the USA would have a heart desire like Solomon, to rule with justice, not like the present evil man that is in the public view as President of the United States of America, our current President makes Benedict Arnold look like a choir boy. Yes, my prayer is that he and the judges he appoints will judge the people with righteousness and the poor with justice. That is unlike this group that is running the show in Washington D.C. and is trying to destroy all that the blood and lives of many have given for freedom and liberty, to bring about a one-world system that would enslave all people. If this is offensive to you, get your eyes open to the truth, and not some political party. They both have the same goals: money and power, most of them would never bow down to God, for they have become morally bankrupt. It is evident in the way they vote, and the bill they try to hide with many words, hoping no one sees what right they have taken from us.
My prayer and yours should be from the heart of God and Solomon prayed did so well; May he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor! He also prayed for the righteous person to flourish, and what it requires to be in right standing with God. Pastor Rusty Rice reminded us today, that one must answer this one question, Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me”? Not words, but actions of that love, do you put Him first, before your wealth, your family, and everything, if not you have not met God’s requirement of righteousness.
Note: I have stated the truth, but I need to also say our Lord has required me
to pray for those leaders, and I do, for I was once lost, and evil and I'm sure many were saying he is without hope, but God's grace was always there.
From the Back Porch,
Bob Rice
