Lead Me to the Rock

Lead Me to the Rock

Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth, I call to you when my heart is faint.  Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.  Let me dwell in your tent forever!  Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah

For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.  Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!  May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!  So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day?

Aren’t we thankful for Doctors and nurses, but often they do not communicate or we do not hear or understand what is being said?  As I lay in bed and could not sleep my mind went to the Cardiologist and why she doubled my pills I believed we were on target.  I often said Lord, I do not know what to do. Please guide me to understand the purpose of this.  I’ve been home since April 18, so for over a month and often I cry out to the rock that is higher than I, for God has been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.

A Dear Friend of Jan and I have for weeks sent me reminders of the rock that is higher than I, this came this morning and it was on the spot.  “Being a follower of Christ doesn’t make me immune to brokenness, pain, or hardship.  It just means I have an anchor to hold me in the storm.”  And always Scripture, “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls, it leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.”  (Hebrews 6:19)  “The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.” (Psalm 34:19)

I’m in need of help. It's been a long journey and often I cry out to the wrong source, for God is my rock and refuge, a strong Tower, for in Christ I have an anchor to hold me in the storm.
