God Is King over All the Earth

 

Psalm 47:1-9

 

June 7, 2023

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah.

Clap your hands, all people!  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.  He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet.  He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah

God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!  For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!  God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.  The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted!

 

Rejoice, and yes, I say rejoice for King Jesus has conquered death and the grave and sits at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for His Church.  [Note: We the Church need to teach all that the building is a place only where the church gathers, and we were reminded once more by Pastor Patrick this Sunday that we the Church need to Shine our light of Jesus' love to the world we come in contact with.]

 

Often, we are told to fear, yes honored, exalted, to grasp His love and grace for you as His Creation.  You recall King Nebuchadnezzar who built an image of Himself and made all people bow to it, well not all for three Jewish men knew the God of Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac, and they fear God more than anything the King Nebuchadnezzar could do to them.  They knew that the king might kill them but they also put their hope and faith in God who can raise the dead.

 

If you look at the state of our Nation, the godless agenda, of killing babies to make a profit on their body parts, the dumbing down of our educational institution, and all the bull about anyone but God destroying the World, Jesus is coming to rule over people for a thousand years so do not buy into Climate change or global warming.  And teaching little kids that God made a mistake, they should have been a boy or girl, a lie straight from hell.

 

You and I have a choice, to put our faith in the people who teach fears and lies, and talk about things as if they had real understanding.  Do you recall a guy named Dr. Fauci who led this nation on Covid -19, and was the lead fear cheerleader?  Well, he is an example of all the other all-knowing ones that put faith in themselves.

 

I’m doing before what the Psalmist did, putting my trust in the King of heaven and earth, the Creator, of all that is King Jesus.  For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!  God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne.

 

And let's end today with I do not understand what the “shields of the earth” are, but they do belong to God.  I read a lot of men guessing, I did not read anyone saying I do not have a clue.
