The Plot to Kill Jesus

Mark 14:1 – 2

The Plot to Kill Jesus

It was now two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to arrest him by stealth and kill him, for they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar from the people.”

Are you troubled about the evil that is taking place in the highest parts of our government?  What about the paying of people to come into a community and stir up people to hate the police, or anyone that does not agree with them?  Today I listened to a man who served his country in the military for 33 years, and the appeals court released documents of the ex-President and Vice President discussed with the FBI how to put this man in jail, and they made up lies to destroy him.  His name is General Mike Flynn, and he knows things about what powerful people will do to destroy a person they fear.

The shop owner that had his business burned to the ground by thugs and neighbors that at one point shopped at his store, maybe having a hard time with the why me, why my business?  The family of the law enforcement retired officer who was trying to keep people from destroying a place of business, may be wondering, why did someone shoot and kill him?  Why was a man who gave his life in law enforcement, not honored nor given much press, and yet a man who went to prison five times and was high on drugs when arrested was held up by the press as if his whole life had been doing good to others?  Why did a policeman keep a knee on his neck till he died?

Why did God who is good allow His Son, His only Son to be arrested and experience a fake trial and killed?  Why did the crowd who had welcomed him in a kingly fashion into Jerusalem now call for him to be killed?

You will never understand using human logic, God is good, and in Him, there is no darkness.  God loves you and me so much that He did not let the darkness found in each heart stop His love for us, it was impossible for God to have fellowship or a relationship with darkness, and now you have the Truth of why He allowed His Son to take on the sin and darkness and die for you on a cross.  It also answers all the questions above, those from the President, down to all we discussed above having a problem with the darkness in their hearts, and they do not desire the light because it exposes the evil in their hearts.  It is easy to love those who love you, but it is impossible to love someone who hates you and your way of life, only God can love like that, and that is why you need Jesus doing it all for you.

As one who has asked Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart, I now understand the world is following a different spirit than the one living in me.  He has many names, but Jesus calls him a thief and he has a plan to steal, kill, and destroy.

If you are a follower of Christ, review what God has told you in Ephesians 6:12-13, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.   Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand firm.”
