Example of the Exchange Life

How often, do we as Christian, followers of Jesus Christ, leave ourselves open for Satan to bring accusations before our Lord, in regards to our words or actions?   This I’m sure brings great pleasure to Satan, to rub God’s face in our poor performance, and for that reason we who are in Christ should be careful not to give the enemy of our God this opportunity.  Let me be quick to state, that if you are in Christ you are covered, you have entered into an eternal life, a life with no beginning and no end, because you have entered into the “time line of Christ.”  The apostle Paul gives us this instruction; “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.  Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-16)

You and I live in a three-dimensional world, and yet God has told us it is not what is seen, but it is what is unseen that is real.  What is seen is passing away, but what is unseen is eternal, and that is why the story of Job is so important for us to grasp.  Job does not have a clue of what is happening in heaven; Job by God’s account is a righteous man, and God brings up Job name to Satan.  It begins like this; Satan shows up in heaven with the other angels of God and ask, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns from evil.  Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason?” (Job 1:8-9) And you have heard or read the rest of the story, but it is important to understand that one of Satan’s names is the accuser.

One of the clearest examples of what Jesus Christ has done for all who have received Him as their Lord and Savior is found in Zechariah 3:1-4, Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.  The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan!  The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you!  Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”  Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel.  The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”  Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I put rich garments on you.”  My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, that is what Jesus has done for you, and when Satan comes to accuse you, God the Father sees you in the rich garments of His Son.
