Great Is the Lord

A Song of Praise. Of David

They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power,
to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.
The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.

The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.  You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.  The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.  He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them.  The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.   My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

I wonder how often we ponder on how God looks at His earth kids who by the faith and grace He has provided have to enter into a relationship with Jesus.  Do you give thought to how often He refers to you in Scripture as His saints?  1 Peter 2:9-10, is about the Church, we were once not the people of God, we were not chosen, but when Christ came and took our due punishment, we the wild vine got graphed into Christ.  ” But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.  Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”  The Scripture that supports the Church, you and me, being grafted into the vine that is Christ the Lord.  Romans 11:17-18, “But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree,  do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.”  And for any who doubt who the Scriptures are calling the vine, look to John 15:1-2, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.  Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.”

We the Church, not all the people who attend the building called the Church, but all who abide in Christ, are so blessed to know the Lord is near to us, He cares and loves us with eternal love, so go, tell as you go.
