Are you a Follower?

Psalm 23:1-3

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures.  He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul.  He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”

One of the most quoted and put to memory Psalm in the Bible, and yet most readers do not deal with it in anything but a warn fussy way.  Maybe one should ask themselves a few questions; like is the Lord, my shepherd?  Being a member of a church does not disqualify or qualify you; going by the title of Christian does not meet the requirements, or being baptized.  Jesus is very clear that it is not the words we use but the object of our worship in John 10:25-27, “Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep.   My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

Have you enter into Christ, and has He come into you, the Scriptures call that being born again.  Romans 10:9 gives a clear picture of how one does this; If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
How often we forget that each day is a choice, to listen to what I refer to as Channel One, the (DECEPTIVE CHANNEL) the one that sounds like our voice or to listen to Channel Two, the Holy Spirit, a much quieter voice.  The Scripture is clear on this point, read Galatians 5:17, “For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.”  So remember as you read verses 2 and 3, that Jesus has restored your soul, but He leads, it is your choice as to whether you follow.
