The first three days of Creation

Genesis 1:2-9

Genesis 1:2, states; “The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”

If the word form was used as a verb it means; bring together parts or combine to create (something), the something is the earth!  And I believe it would be correct to state that the earth was null and worthless at this point of creation.  And this is the account of what God did, God spoke and there was light, and God separated the light from the darkness, and He called the light day and the darkness night, and on the first day of creation there was evening and there was morning.  God did that on the first day.

On the next day God looked on the water and said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”  Skip down to verse eight, “And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.”  On the third day of creation, “And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so.  God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas.  And God saw that it was good.”

Have you given thought to the fact that all of man’s theories of how the earth began had some material object as the instrument of how the world was formed, but God, the Creator, spoke, and what was not seen became what He desired it to be.  I’ve always wondered where the materials man bases his theories on came from?  Hebrews 11:3, states; “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”  The reason Genesis 1:1 is a “faith stopper” is that it does not allow for man’s interpretation, it states, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”   A few months ago a friend, Craig Hearn sent me this, but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer (Psalm 66:19); but God will redeem my life from the grave (Psalm 49:15); but God raised him from the dead (Acts 2:24); For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. (Hebrews 3:4)

I would bet there are few Christians who do not believe that when God formed Adam, He made Adam a man, and yet often the same Christians cannot grasp the understanding that God had no trouble making mountains any age that He desired, they seem to forget that He created time for His purpose, and that when God has no need for time, you and I will have no need for faith.
