The Sons of Single Mom's

Proverbs 4:14-19

“Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil.
 Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.  For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.  For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.  But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
they do not know over what they stumble.”

In that God has told the young boy to listen to his father’s instruction how will a boy of a single mom receive such teaching?  Not at school, we have told God to stay out of our schools.  You must recall that when Jesus was asked to leave an area He did, without a word, that is what our government and schools have done, and what has it got us, school shootings for one thing and parents that will not be part of their child’s discipline, and will sue the school if they dare do so?

Now let be clear, a few boys have a granddad or uncle or neighbor that invest in them, but that is only a few of the millions.  Will you be part of the few, will you warn them of the scheme of men and boys who are evil, will you teach them John 10:10, the plans the evil one has for them and the plans Jesus has for them?

How will a young boy know the ways of the wicked unless he is instructed in the ways of God?  We have already addressed the schools and government, what about the kids they go to school with, many who are in the same boat as these boys, even when they have moms and dads.  Many attend church and expect someone else to teach these truths to their children.  But as a child we watch the actions at home and those actions must be backed up by the words they speak at the church, or the parents will only hurt the children.

Have no doubt evil men and women are setting traps for your young child and your teenagers, “For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.”

As a granddad with two delightful grandsons who have been taught the ways of righteousness by their dad, I am blessed, but does that give me a pass on those young boys that have no dad?  Who will teach them the following if not you and me?  “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.” Will you allow the Holy Spirit to use you in this battle to invest in the life of just one boy, pray and ask the Lord to open the door for just the right boy?
