He coming back

Luke 21:25-28

What a wonderful time to write on these verses this morning, I was out digging through the garbage can before the trash men came to pick it up.  Now that is not the norm, but some receipts I needed were in the trash.  As I was looking, our security person came by and was sharing how he prayed God’s blessing on us each morning, and as he was driving off he said, Jesus is coming back soon, very soon.
As a follower of Christ and as the culture becomes more bold in its disregard for authority, man’s or God’s, many who are followers of Christ are looking to the Eastern Sky, for Jesus’ soon return.   Dr. Luke shares these words from Jesus; “Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:10-11 ESV)  And many who have disdain for Christ and even some who go by the name Christian will do as the apostle Peter is telling us in 2 Peter 3:3-4,“knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.  They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming?  For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.”  And guess what I just read on the Internet, Why Jesus can’t come back in 2015 (or even this decade?”)  It makes one wonder if this foolish person knows more than Jesus, for Jesus was clear that only the Father knows the time and the date.
A time is coming for these are the words of our Creator and LORD, “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. (Luke 21:25-26 ESV)  And I have no clue if it has anything to do with a red moon, but this I do know, when it happens the world is going to take notice and it is going to scare the willies or the heebie-jeebies out of them.  For Jesus, who knows all, who has been to the front and back of what we call time; says they will faint with fear.

Do you enjoy good news?  For all who are in Christ and He is living in them, not by any action of self but by grace and faith in the finished work of the Cross, this is good news:  “And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:27-28 ESV)

The lesson of the fig tree, and many people and I am one of them who believes this prophesy took place in1948 when Israel once more became a nation.  You will want to read and ponder on these verses, for Jesus has stated; (Luke 21:31-33 ESV) these words, “So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” (Luke 21:31-33 ESV)
Many believe a generation is from 70-80 years, if so it may be later than you think!
