Psalm 19

The Law of the Lord Is Perfect
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day-to-day pours out speech, and night-to-night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Who can discern his errors? Declare me innocent from hidden faults. Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock, and my redeemer.
In the first paragraph “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” God's Word always gives us insight into things of great importance and the Father give a clear understanding of this in Romans 1:18-20, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So, they are without excuse.”
As you go to the second paragraph, you will see the word precepts, which I often what to have a better understanding of the meaning of a word, I looked up the word precept; “a general rule intended to regulate behavior or thought.” Our Father knew we would have a desire for self-rule over being under God-rule so He gave us precepts to give order to our lives.” It does not matter what some theologian has to say, God has made clear His word is pure and perfect and will guide us into right living, which is called righteousness in the Bible.
If you’re a mess like I am, and I believe we all really are, it's just something the flesh does not like to accept. David asks a great question; Who can discern his errors? Once more the Father understood that and gave all who are in Christ a Helper, to live in them, and the Helper is none other than the Holy Spirit of God. It is the Helper that discerns our errors and will guide us to the right living. It is always a choice, many have shut their ears to him, and have allowed the desire of the world to lead them into foolishness.
The cry of this mess of a man is the last two sentences of this Psalm, Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight,
O Lord, my rock, and my redeemer.
