In a Time of the Unknown
In a time of the unknown, the uncharted, that the world we have come to know in the last thirty days, but part of the world have been dealing with it much longer. It was reported today that the Coronavirus in the United States now have 4,600 deaths and almost half of them in New York. In the world we have had 1,169,323 cases and 62,730 deaths that have been reported. We have no real numbers in many areas like China and Iran, and I’m sure others. We also have been told that Italy has revisited the death contributed to the virus and much of it is not the real cause of death.
With that said, and it comes from the press, they have not been all that honest over the last few years, and there are those who are in the business of selling fear. I hope you are not allowing it to rule over you, if you are in Christ and He is in you, He tells you to fear not, for I am with you. He does not tell us to ignore authority, so do as our President is asking wash your hands, keep your social distance, and stay home as much as you can. It’s a great time if you’re my age to reflect on what you have to look forward to and last night I awoke to I can only imagine what it is going to be like in the New Heaven and the New Earth!
I can only imagine what it will be like when Jesus returns, the Scriptures talk about a new heaven and a new earth and John the apostle tells us in Revelation 21:1-4 and that Jesus would come and live with his bride in the new earth. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
The new Jerusalem coming down from heaven and it is going to be a site to see. Yes, I wonder what the dress will be, a robe and sandals or a suit and shoes, it doesn’t matter for we will be with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and all our tears will be wiped away, we will never know sin, pain, or fear, only learning more and more for eternity about how to praise our Father and Lord.
I came to this conclusion, it matters not what I imagine, for my mind nor yours can get close to what God has prepared for us, His children.
