What camp are you in?

Isaiah 55:4-5

“Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.       Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.  Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the LORD your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.”

The God of Israel is both the God of the Jews and the Gentiles, those are not my words, they are found in the Manufacturers Handbook in Romans 3:29-30.  “Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.”

The people of God, His chosen the Jews are coming out of being captive of the Assyrians and Babylonians, and God is stating through Isaiah that God is going to make an everlasting covenant with Israel as He has done with David.  But are you ready for this; the covenant will include the nations.  Nations coming to Israel not for war, but to share in the glory of God, as you read the newspaper of how the nations surrounding Israel today want to only extinguish the Jewish nation from the face of this earth, you wonder when will Isaiah’s prophecies materialize?

When Jesus showed up on planet earth, His own people wanted nothing to do with Him for they were looking for a Messiah to come and deliver them from Roman rule.  Jesus came as a servant, as one who was humble and meek, and had a word for all people and all nations; God loves you so much that I have come to pay for your sins.  And all anyone has to do is accept the payment by faith on what Jesus did on the cross by covering your sins with His blood.  It is so simple, many will go the hard way of religion, what they can do for God, but that option is not on the table, it will lead to your soul being separated for eternity from God.  Romans 10:9, gives the clear and only path to salvation; “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.”

It is not David but Jesus who is going to have the nation come to Him, for He is coming back as King of Kings and LORD of LORD’S and will rule in Jerusalem for 1000 years.  If you by grace and faith have entered into a personal relationship with Christ, Jesus has already come in the sky and called His church out before any of this prophecy.  It is often referred to as the end of the Church age, the Church called out to be with Him, both those who have died in Christ and those who are alive, not a coming just an end of the church on this earth.

It is later than many believe, but Jesus is coming back soon, very soon.  What camp are you in?  Religious but lost, or maybe lost without a care for anything but self, or have you accepted the payment of the Cross, and have prayed the prayer of confession, and by faith have received Jesus as your LORD and Savior?
