Only two Groups

The estimated world population for 2025 is approximately

8.2 billion people

 

They are typically considered to be

195 nations in the world

 

There are 195 recognized countries in the world, and

approximately 7,164 languages are currently spoken

 

There are roughly 4,200 to over 10,000 distinct religions and spiritual traditions worldwide

 

The primary religion that follows the Bible is Christianity, although the Jewish religion uses its own version of the Old Testament, known as the Tanakh.

 

Has anyone ever said that of the 8.2 billion people on the earth, you can break them into two groups?  In the Bible, you will find in John's gospel chapter 14:6, the Son of God, Jesus the Messiah, had this to say to all who had ears to hear, and a heart to receive: “Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

  

We also have these words from Jesus to those who, by faith that God has given them to put their trust and life in His hands.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

 

How does the Bible put them into Two Groups

 

Let’s let the Scriptures explain how.

 

The Pharisees were so religious, but this is what Jesus said to them,  in Matthew 23:13-15, “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people's faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in.  Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.”

 

You may be saying yes, I understand some very religious people even believe anyone who does not bow down to their religion should be killed.  But how do you get two groups? Jesus made that very clear in John 8:44, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

 

Jesus was talking to His chosen people, but anyone who has tried to get to God any other way than Jesus has chosen to have the devil as their father.

 

So, we come down to being a Follower of Christ or Religious, and the best way to explain the difference is: Do & Done!

 

Religion is all about what you can ​​Do to try to earn God’s approval.  But ​​Done is what Jesus did for all who receive the finished work of the Cross.

 

Two Groups

God is your Father, or the devil is your father

It is your Choice

We are told to choose this day whom we will serve.

It brings sadness to me seeing people choose wealth and stuff over a life of abundance, which only Jesus can provide.  Jesus said you were either for Him or against Him. People either love God or become their own god
