Unless



Psalm 127:1-5

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.  Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.  It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.  Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.  Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!  He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

The elephant in the room or the truth we refuse to accept is this, many who go by the title of Christian do not believe this Psalm.  Why can I state such a statement of condemnation, because when you see a person who believes these truths, their lives stand out in any group?  When a senator states​,​ God placed President Trump in the Oval office, many in and out of the Church blasted him as insane, but that is precisely what God’s written word states in Romans 13:1.  “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.”  

So, I’m in total agreement that no task can succeed apart from God’s will and to those who call you ignorant and a Walmart shopper, because you cling to the truths found in God’s word.  Let me be very clear, you and I are ignorant, but so are theyeveryone is ignorant only God has total knowledge.  Why would anyone attack a person for where they shop?  They must see themselves as elitist, you know snobbish, highbrow, so what should we do with such as these, pray for them and love them, but nowhere does it tell us in Scripture to vote for them.

We installed an alarm system in our home but it cannot protect us from evil, I’m sure that will not play well with the security people, but it is true, our T.V., a computer and cell phone have the ability to bring evil into our home that can corrupt our minds and our hearts.  If you are putting your faith in a security system, the police, the military, or the government, and not in God, that's not good.

Full quiver arrows gave the dad in the time of David both respect and protection,​ the more sons​ the stronger he was, in the agricultural society, it also gave the dad a family lineage.

Are you one that stands out​?​ ​ ​Where is your hope?  Maybe we should ponder on Hebrews 4:2, “ For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.”
