Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name

Psalm 96:7-13

“Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!  Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts!  Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!  Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”  Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it!  Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth.  He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness.”

Do you, do I ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name?  Or have we bought into the culture and look more to seeing friends than coming to worship a Holy God, who is all-sufficient, all-knowing and Created all that is or will be.  I’m often guilty of going through the music part of worship, before tuning into the message that our Father gave the Pastor.  I must confess, worship can happen almost anywhere, and yet God has instructed us to assemble together for worship, I need to prepare my heart before going, that my focus is centered on coming with the desire to worship.

Jesus has promised to come back to Planet Earth, not as a baby this time, no He is coming back as a warrior and King.  I hope you read and give much thought to this verse;  “The Lord reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”   Now I’ve got some great news the world is not going to be blown away by man or bombs, in that it’s going to have millions of people living on it when Jesus returns and rules for 1000 years.  Yes, it is going to be very livable and if that’s not right, then God’s Word has no value to anyone, it comes back to do you believe in man or God?
