1 Corinthians 15:35-49
What will a resurrected body look like, the Holy Spirit answered in this way: “You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body.”
You may recall that yesterday we shared that the world has only seen two men, the man Adam and Jesus, but today we will look deeper into that subject of the two men. It might help if we moved to the mirror and ask the Holy Spirit to open our minds to this teaching, for each of us were sown in dishonor, in weakness, with a natural body, and Adam is the reason. If we go back to Genesis 2:7, “then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and the man became a living creature.” Before sin entered into Adam he was pure, under authority, walked and talked with God in the garden God had made for Adam to work and find fulfillment in. As sin entered into Adam he lost fellowship with the LORD, he joined the blame crowd and blamed God for Eve, even though he was standing next to her when the serpent conned Eve into sinning against God.
So shall we look at verses 42-49, “So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.” The body of Adam has one plan, it is from dust and will return to dust, it is heading for the dirt, but the spiritual body will live forever.
Quotes on being transformed: “The same Jesus who turned water into wine can transform your home, your life, your family, and your future. He is still in the miracle-working business, and His business is the business of transformation.”

“As is true of man who is born naturally and receives a human nature from his parents, so man born anew receives a new nature, a new capacity for service and devotion to God.” By John F. Walvoord
“Eternal life is not a peculiar feeling inside! It is not your ultimate destination, to which you will go when you are dead. If you are born again, eternal life is that quality of life that you possess right now.” By Major Ian Thomas
